International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON)
International Society for Krishna Consciousness was founded by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada in 1966 in New York. Today ISKCON has almost 600 centers throughout the world teaching deeper philosophy of Bhakti (devotion) primarily through congregational chanting of Hare Krishna MahaMantra.
ISKCON St. Louis chapter has several melodious kirtan leaders who are trained to sing kirtans and bhajans to revive the Krishna consciousness and ultimately lead towards deeper joy and peace. St. Louis ISKCON organized several programs throughout the year which involves hours long chanting of bhajans which were appreciated and covered by local media.
ISKCON centers are enriching lives of people through devotional musical presentations as it is cited in the Vedic literature that the process for this age Kali Yuga is constant chanting and remembering the HOLY NAME of the Lord.
